City Hall
Land for the site of the City Hall was purchased in 1926. Erle G. Stillwell, the designer of innumerable buildings in the City and County, and City resident, was named the architect.
On May 10, 1927, the Council adopted a resolution that it "is the sense of this Board that not more than $225,000 be spent."
Final occupation of City Hall was scheduled for July 1, 1928. Formal dedication and "presentation to the People" was delayed until November 27, 1928 when there was a formal program.

Renovation of City Hall was completed in January of 2005 and it presently houses Administrative Operations, the Finance Department, the Police Department, the Planning Department, and Water & Sewer Customer Service, all at one location.
